As a mother, I struggled with some of her decisions, actions and ways she treated her daughters. I really didn't like the mother figure Vivian. Now, that's okay, you don't necessarily have to connect with the characters for a story to be good (although it does help.). Here are a few of my issues - To start off with, I didn't connect with any of the characters. As excited as I was to read this book, I was equally disappointed once I read it. And I really love books focusing on mother-daughter relationships. I love books about music or music groups. I was very excited to read this book initially.
